How Does Govah Steps Work?

Govah Steps turns your daily walking into real rewards. Every step you take earns Step Coins that can be redeemed for wallet credit — which you can use to pay for Govah rides.

Getting started

1. Open the Govah Rider app.
2. Tap Steps in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap Start Walking to begin a session.
4. Walk! Your steps and distance are tracked in real time.
5. Tap Finish Walk when you're done.

How steps are counted

Govah uses your phone's built-in pedometer sensor for accurate step counting. The app must be open and running for steps to be tracked during a free-walking session.

Earning coins

• 1 Step Coin per 100 steps
• 2 Step Coins per 100 steps when walking to a Govah Share node
• Peak hour bonus multiplier during 07:00–09:00 and 16:00–18:00

Redeeming coins

You need a minimum of 100 Step Coins to redeem. Tap Redeem on the Steps screen to convert your coins to wallet credit.

CO2 savings

Each kilometre you walk instead of driving saves approximately 0.05 kg of CO2. Your lifetime CO2 savings are displayed on the Steps screen.
